Le parcours de l’étape du jour est long de 10 kilomètres avec les 9,2 derniers à 9%. De quoi offrir aux coureurs du classement général une dernière lutte pour le maillot jaune pour l’instant sur les épaules de Kévin Vauquelin (Arkéa-B&B Hotels). Le Français a 33 secondes d’avance sur Joao Almeida (UAE Team Emirates XRG) qui revient fort depuis quelques étaoes.
Le premier coureur à s’élancer sur la rampe de lancement à Beckenried pour cette 8e étape du Tour de Suisse 2025 n’est autre que la lanterne rouge : Olivier Le Gac (Groupama-FDJ), à 11h38. Les départs s’effectueront de minute en minute sauf pour les 15 derniers à s’élancer. Le podium provisoire du classement général de l’épreuve helvète s’élancera avec Julian Alaphilippe (Tudor) à 16h26. Suivront Almeida à 16h28 et Vauquelin à 16h30 pour une lutte à distance et le maillot jaune.
